The Best Way To Turn Likes Into Clients

How much is a Facebook page "Like" worth? A whole lot more once you're done with this article. I'm going to show you the best principles and tactics to turn those followers into clients walking into your practice, so read this whole thing and book mark it. Not only will it help you generate clients, but it makes marketing way easier. One of the phrases I've heard so frequently when I talk social media marketing with anyone is, "Yea, but how much is a like or a follower actually worth?" That is a great question and the answer is always, it depends. Can you actually turn those likes, followers or subscribers into people who walk into your practice. That is the trouble with social media, it can be hard to know how to sell without coming off as overly salesy. What happens a lot of times is that practices just try to stay in front of clients by simply entertaining or educating and don't ever mention services, specials or offers. "The temptation to entertain instead of sell is contagious" as my favorite ad man of all time, David Ogilvy said way back in 1963. So let's dive into first how to not be annoying and second the amazing tools and tactics available to you right now.

Step 1: Hey Random Person You Want To Buy This?

You're sitting down for dinner, the phone rings, it is a local number so you pick it up. Who could be calling at 8:45 on a Saturday night? Surely it has to be important. It is important, Steve a telemarketer wants me to know how important it is that I buy a solar panel system for my house before the tax credit programs run out. I try politely to say no thank you but Steve just keeps talking so I have to hang up.This has probably happened to you, you get a random phone call, email, text, letter or some kind of solicitation trying to sell you something you have no interest in buying. I don't own a house, so I am a terrible candidate for a solar panel system. Even if it was the best solar panel system in the world, I wouldn't have bought it.Your social media channels are filled with people who have given you permission to stay in front of them. Even if you've done an amazing job at providing fantastic content, you're only as good as your last at bat. Post something that is annoying or spammy and you'll get the unlike boot. How do we avoid this? Segmentation.Segmentation is the key, it is taking people and dividing them up based on context of your relationship as well as what they are interested in. Every time you create a piece of content or an offer you need to think, who is this for and what stage of the relationship am I in with these people? Is it the first date or are you married already? Not only do you need to consider what stage the relationship is in but also what are they interested in as well.Your offers and content that is promotional needs to be served up to people who have some contet with you. Don't just send offers out there like a groupon
